FareDrop is a flight price tracker for Android. You choose routes and a target price, and FareDrop watches the fares and alerts you when a price drops. It is published on Google Play under the package name io.github.yahia_jaber.faredrop.
FareDrop does not access your contacts, photos, precise location or calendar.
To check fares on the routes you watch, to send you price alerts, to show your routes when you reopen the app, and to recognise your subscription. Nothing else.
Our server runs on Railway in the United States. Fare data comes from third party flight price sources; we send them the route and dates to search, never anything that identifies you. Push notifications are delivered through Expo's push service and Google's notification service for Android.
FareDrop offers an optional Pro subscription. Purchases are made through Google Play and are billed by Google under its own terms. We never see or store your card or bank details.
To recognise your subscription across devices and app installs, we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) as our subscription processor. RevenueCat receives a random identifier for your app install, your purchase tokens and subscription status from Google Play, your device type and your app version. It does not receive your name, your email address or your payment details. RevenueCat's privacy policy is at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
You can cancel a subscription at any time from the Subscriptions page in Google Play. Cancelling stops future renewals; Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. A free trial becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then. Purchase records are kept for as long as your subscription is active and afterwards only as long as accounting and tax rules require.
We do not sell, rent or share your information with advertisers or data brokers. Service providers named above (Railway, Expo, Google, RevenueCat and the fare sources) process data only to run the service.
Watched routes stay on our server until you remove them in the app. Uninstalling the app leaves behind routes tied to a push token that no longer works; email us with your approximate install date and routes and we will remove them. Push tokens that stop working are removed.
Traffic between the app and our server is encrypted. No system can guarantee absolute security, which is one reason FareDrop stores as little about you as it does.
FareDrop is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes are published on this page with a new effective date.
